Romantic Story #13

A man named Bart is on trial, with his wife Ellen standing by him despite his guilt. When Terry, another man, offers his support and strengthens Ellen's resolve to stick with Bart, Bart decides to go back and testify honestly. Later, Ellen's political ambitions lead her to run for president of the women's club, and she uses Bart's legal troubles to boost her campaign. Bart becomes jealous when Ellen spends time with Toni, a chemist colleague, and eventually brings the matter to a head by asking Ellen to choose between her ambitions and their marriage.
