I'll Die Alone, My Love A woman named Alice chooses between two suitors—Brian, whom she initially loved, and Ray, with whom she discovers a deeper connection. After realizing she enjoys Ray's kisses more than Brian's, Alice decides to be with Ray and they plan a future together. However, when Cal's father Philip Porter arrives to prevent their marriage and reveals that Cal would sacrifice everything for her happiness, Alice is torn and ultimately decides to give up Ray to spare Cal the pain. The story concludes with Alice marrying Cal as planned, despite her true feelings lying elsewhere.
