This anthology issue contains three main stories: "Cherry's Alpine Schooldays," in which Cherry Lee is chosen for an Alpine School ski-race team and travels by sleigh and mountain railway to the slopes, where a boy named Vincent van Dorp shows mysterious interest in her musical box; "Mystery Member of the Circus," featuring the spiteful rider Zena, who causes trouble at a circus by complaining to Mr. Olsen about Pom-Pom the pony and later whips the animal, though she is ultimately rebuked and the pony successfully performs in the ring; and "Princess Anita," in which Princess Anita of Sylvanberg returns from boarding school to discover a wicked plot by the Archduke to seize her people's forests and must confront him alone to save her nation.
