Secret Love #1 (1955) This anthology issue contains at least two romantic stories. "Reaching for a Star" depicts a woman's infatuation with a television idol and her attempt to meet him in person at a stage door. "The Boss of My Heart" follows a man who falls for Paula, an outdoor girl he hires at his fishing shack; after she leaves to find other work, he realizes he loves her and determines to win her back. A third story shown features a schoolgirl named Mary Tafton who develops feelings for her teacher, Mr. Keith Richards, and begins dressing up to catch his attention until she recognizes her foolish behavior and redirects her focus. Another story involves a character named Kitty and a man named Roy Cameron who becomes a successful nightclub owner; Kitty encourages him to use her name for his "Bomb Club," but Roy dismisses the idea as too risky, leaving Kitty disappointed.
