This issue contains two stories. "Strength of Love" follows a young woman whose concerns about her husband's age difference are tested when he is injured in a mine accident; a coworker named Dale rescues him, and the couple reconciles as the husband proposes moving to Montana to start a family. "The Far Call of Love" depicts a woman named Murna who has long harbored memories of a lost love named Doug Ashland; when a forest fire threatens Doug's lumber operation, Murna learns that Doug's wife had died and his child was lost to grief, but ultimately Doug and his new family find safety and happiness together.
