Skypilot #10 The issue contains two stories. "Lumber Pirates" follows Skypilot as he investigates a killer marked with a "Sal" tattoo who murdered a man named Henderson in the far north. After the Eskimos capture a group of lumbermen responsible for the avalanche deaths, Skypilot defeats the logger Jules in combat, and the culprits are turned over to the Northwest Mounted Police; Skypilot declines payment but asks the villagers to attend church on Sunday to help spread the gospel on the frontier. "The Crisis" follows young pilot John Hawks and his wife Myra, who arrive at a remote trading post called the Silver Lode in harsh winter conditions with only thirty-five dollars to buy supplies for six weeks of work, facing starvation until spring.
