This December 1935 issue features "The Saving Grace," a story about eighteen-year-old Colleen who returns home sad, penitent, and seeking shelter, carrying a baby boy in her arms. When Mrs. Murphy discovers her daughter's arrival, she initially expresses disapproval, but her husband Pat ultimately persuades her to accept the girl and child into their home. The issue also contains single-panel gag cartoons, including one about a bridge player who didn't play his cards right and another joke illustrated with the caption "Goodness, that beer certainly turned my stomach!"
