Speed Demons #9

The main story "Speed Demons" follows Bones, who is asked to drive a fast car in a race to win money and prove himself as a driver. After McCoy crashes during the race, Bones takes over the vehicle called the "Dean Special" and drives it successfully, but then learns that Skip Tanner, a tramp driver, has been sabotaging competitors' cars. Bones later encounters Dan Berrios, who offers him a driving job, and the story concludes with Bones preparing to race against Skip Tanner at the Eastern Raceway, where Tanner is favored to win.
