The Spirit #1

This anthology issue contains three complete stories. "The Spirit" by Will Eisner follows the masked crimefighter as he confronts a killer who has set a trap at Dolan's residence, resulting in combat and the Spirit pursuing the villain. "Lady Luck" features the costumed heroine battling a giant cobra while protecting a treasure and its guardian. "Mr. Mystic" presents a magical hero who intervenes when the sorcerer Sargon threatens a couple, with Mr. Mystic revealing himself as a god-like being sent to defeat Sargon's dark plans.
