Spy and Counterspy #1 This anthology issue contains at least two stories. The first story involves American counterspy operatives who uncover a foreign espionage ring and must stop enemy agents from obtaining military secrets and control plans, culminating in a climactic battle. The second story, "Man Hunt from the East," is set in Prague in autumn 1948 and follows scientist Dr. Kurt Riner, a specialist in antibiotics whose discoveries are sought by communists; when the Iron Curtain falls across Eastern Europe, Riner escapes, and American intelligence launches a manhunt to locate him before enemy agents can capture him and his valuable research.
