Spy-Hunters #22

"Periscope on Peril" follows Lieutenant Pat Bryan as he investigates Chinese Communist activity involving a trapped submarine. The Communists have set a trap using the submarine Marlins and threatened to uncover U.S. naval secrets unless Bryan can locate a missing native trading vessel called the Hokura. Bryan coordinates with naval forces to search for the vessel while dealing with security restrictions that prevent him from discussing the mission, ultimately attempting to recover the Hokura and its crew before the Communists can exploit the situation.
