This anthology issue contains four pictorial stories. "Death Rides the Stage" follows a young boy hired to ride shotgun on a stagecoach carrying $50,000 in gold, despite the gang's concerns that he is too anxious; the bandit in black attempts to rob the stage multiple times. "Tommy Hawk" depicts a humorous character who strikes a business deal to buy a house for $50,000, then attempts to furnish it luxuriously. "Prairie Dog" presents a narrative poem about a prairie dog gopher whose burrowing habits make it elusive to hunters who wish to capture and take it home.
