This anthology issue features "The Fighting Yank" as the lead story, in which the patriotic super-hero battles German agents at Dr. Blitz's shore estate, foiling a plot involving a time bomb placed on a military convoy. The issue also includes "Tear Gas," a crime story by William McClellan about a young boy named Jerry Graham who mistakes a burglar for an intruder and uses his toy water pistol filled with soapy water to stop the hold-up man, eventually leading to the criminal's capture by Officer Clancy.
