Straight Arrow #13
Straight Arrow battles a group of conquistadors who have invaded Indian territory and enslaved the Comanche. After the drawbridge of their fortress is lowered by the Indians, Straight Arrow and the Comanche charge the castle, with Straight Arrow using his arrows to defeat the enemy forces. The conquistadors are forced to surrender, acknowledging that they have no right to enslave the natives, and Straight Arrow ensures the Indians will protect their land. In a subplot, renegade whites pursue the Indians into the mountains at night, leading to a final confrontation where Straight Arrow and his allies emerge victorious, forcing the intruders to retreat.
