Straight Arrow #14

Straight Arrow encounters an Apache warrior named True Bow, son of an Apache chief, who initially attacks him but becomes confused about Straight Arrow's identity and intentions. True Bow reveals he defeated Red Hawk in a series of competitions—archery, wrestling, snow snake racing, foot and pony racing, and lacrosse—and boasts of his superiority. Straight Arrow then guides True Bow through the plains where a buffalo herd is being hunted, and the two encounter Red Cloud and his warriors on a peaceful mission; when Red Cloud's hunters fire on them, a battle ensues that Straight Arrow must resolve by riding to confront Red Cloud and explain that he comes in peace.
