Straight Arrow #20
This issue contains two stories. "The Shield of Straight Arrow" tells of how the young warrior Straight Arrow received his decorated buffalo-hide war shield, which bears no marks because he had not yet done brave deeds to earn them, and explains how the shield becomes sacred to him. "Red Hawk" features Tall Calf, a Cheyenne medicine man, who creates a mystical metal tomahawk called the Tomahawk-That-Talks-the-Truth from metal that falls from the sky, and when enemy hands steal it, Red Hawk must recover both the sacred tomahawk and the sacred bundles of the Cheyenne. A backup story shows Straight Arrow on a raiding trip where he tricks enemies and saves a companion from falling off a cliff.
