Straight Arrow #23 The issue features two main stories. In "Red Hawk: The Battle of the Everglades," Red Hawk, a young Seminole warrior, travels eastward and southward seeking the great Hiawatha, encountering a deadly struggle in the Everglades where sky meets earth in a strange mating. In the main Straight Arrow story, the titular hero faces a conflict of loyalty when a war erupts between the Red Man and White Man, forcing him to choose which side to fight for despite belonging to both communities, while characters named Steve Adams and Packy debate the complications of divided allegiance.
