Straight Arrow #44

Straight Arrow confronts hostile Apaches led by Red Hawk who are attacking a homestead. Young Kiowa warriors seeking to prove themselves as warriors are following Red Hawk, while a peaceful Cheyenne medicine man warns that many visions are coming. Straight Arrow intervenes in the conflict, and after a thrown spear knocks Red Hawk flying, the young warriors are scattered and driven off. The story depicts the clash between the warring tribes and Straight Arrow's role as a defender against violence.
