Straight Arrow #8

Four Against the Seventh Straight Arrow and three Cheyenne braves intercept a cavalry column under General Custer to prevent a massacre of the Sioux. The four warriors race across a ford to halt Custer's men and successfully disrupt the encampment before the cavalry can attack. Later, after playful sparring with a young buffalo and humorous exchanges with his dog Fury about courting practices, Straight Arrow pursues fleeing injuns whose shore fire drives him and his companions away from a trading post, though he manages to escape with his injured dog.
