Straight Arrow #9

In "The Trial of Flying Cloud," Straight Arrow must face a crucial test to prove his place as a warrior in his tribe, confronting fears about his courage. A scheming medicine man named Tall Wolf attempts to sabotage the young Indian boy by sending him into Cherokee country to gather magic herbs, hoping Red Hawk will kill him in the forest. Straight Arrow discovers Tall Wolf's treachery and sets a trap, ultimately defeating Red Hawk and exposing the medicine man's plot. Chief Swift Hawk recognizes Straight Arrow's bravery and welcomes him into the tribe's historic bonds of friendship as the Apaches plan a surprise raid on the pueblos.
