This issue contains at least two stories. "Black Pearls of Death" follows criminal Gyp Larsen, who hires native divers to retrieve forbidden black pearls from a temple off Patmos, but encounters supernatural resistance from the temple's guardian spirit—a female entity that warns against the theft and opposes the invasion. "Over His Dead Body" tells of Henry Morse, who returns from a business trip transformed into glass after a mysterious accident, and later discovers he has become invisible, ultimately deciding to keep his condition secret and hide away with his newfound abilities.
