Submarine Attack #34
This issue contains two naval warfare stories. The first story depicts the U.S. Navy battling a Russian spy fleet fifty miles off the coast of Maine, with American forces pursuing and destroying enemy submarines. The second story, "Submarine Attack," follows Commander Dan's efforts to obtain the log of the German U-boat U-238 from a captured German captain named Heffernan in Gibraltar; when Dan's crew attempts to retrieve it via submarine, they must evade a fishing trawler and ultimately escape in deep water while the captain reflects on the vessel's wartime legacy and the crew's bravery.
