Submarine Attack #49
This issue contains two stories: "The Ghost of the Captain of the U.S.S. Blackfin," in which Captain Franz von Kurrst had sunk the U.S.S. Blackfin, and now his U-boat is bearing down on those who survived; and "The Fog Lifted," where a U.S. Navy vessel searches for a German ship carrying communications equipment, discovering it beached on the rocky coast of Greenland. The third story, "Submarine Attack," follows the damaged U.S.S. Blackfin as it attempts to reach shallow waters off Cape Pina, where the crew plans to beach the submarine and use it as a fortification against the Japanese, but Japanese destroyers locate them and deploy depth charges to destroy the vessel.
