Sun Comic #147 is an anthology featuring three stories: "Buck Jones and the Jackal," in which Buck Jones pursues a dangerous jackal that has ambushed him and his companion Dan in snowy terrain; "The Alley Cat: Our Playful Puss," a humorous comic strip showing the cat causing mischief around the house and neighborhood; and "Sitting Bull and the Frontier War," depicting Captain Pelham's efforts to maintain peace at Fort Laramie while dealing with Sioux tensions and the warrior Sitting Bull's leadership, which ultimately leads to conflict and violence on the frontier.
