Sun #46 is a comic anthology featuring three main stories. "John and Joan in the Forgotten Land" follows the young adventurers and their friend Pam as they search for a sunken treasure chest in a swampy area, encountering various underwater dangers and sea creatures. "The Queer Adventures of Patsy and Tim" depicts the tiny siblings' misadventure when they attempt to make a sandwich while being chased by a tramp and his dogs through the woods. "Petrified Valley" by W. Holroyd follows Wimple and Don as they carefully navigate a mysterious valley filled with traps while searching for an entrance. The issue also includes "There was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe," a children's puzzle story, reader competitions including a "Name the Animals" contest, and a letters section called the Editor's Post-Bag.
