This issue contains two distinct stories. "Dollars and Scents" by Jed Duncan follows a student named Richy who insults his math teacher Miss Parabola by calling her "an old duck," leading to his summoning before Principal Mr. Bradford, who lectures him extensively on disrespecting educators before ultimately allowing him to leave with a warning. The second story depicts two young men discussing ways to earn money or find entertainment on Saturday, eventually spotting an advertisement in a shop window for a soda fountain job, which they attempt to inquire about but are rebuffed by the establishment's staff.
