Super-Mystery Comics v4 #6

The issue features two main stories. "Mr. Risk" follows the crime fighter as he receives an urgent telegram from an old friend running a pre-flight school for Chinese pilots in the desert, who reports being attacked by the legendary Mrrrisk—an ancient bird of fire from Indian legend. Mr. Risk travels to help, encounters the magical creature, and confronts a figure known as the Genius who wields a sword in a battle to save the flight school. "The Lance" depicts Lance Later becoming a superhero through transformation in the Genius's laboratory, gaining powers to combat the Genius's own forces and rescue his friend, though he discovers the Genius possesses a magical sword that proves difficult to overcome.
