This anthology issue contains multiple mystery stories, including "Staged for Murder!" featuring The Unknown, in which a struggling Broadway actor named Charlie Back schemes to murder the show's star with a sandbag to take his place, only to be thwarted when a mysterious masked figure called The Unknown intervenes and exposes his plan. Another story involves Mr. Risk investigating the mystery of millionaire George Slocum, who disappeared a year ago in the Peruvian jungle during an expedition, leading to complications when Slocum unexpectedly reappears alive. The issue also includes a Trooper Stuart story in which the young soldier must hunt down the murderer of Corporal Jim in a tense military investigation.
