Sweetheart Diary #1 The issue contains two stories. In "Disheartened," Paula is courted by Danny, a charming man who takes her to a concert in the park; however, she later discovers he is actually interested in her friend Shirley, leading Paula to end their romance. In the second story, Connie believes she is in love with Glen, a man who works in her office, but learns from Howard that Glen is only using her to get ahead professionally; after Glen leaves her, Ronnie—Connie's father—is struck by a car, and Connie discovers a photograph of herself and Ronnie in Tim's possession, realizing Tim, not Glen, is her true love, though Tim initially rejects her due to her past mistakes before eventually forgiving her.
