Sweetheart Diary #36 The issue contains two stories. "Sweetheart Diary" follows Anne, who struggles with shame over her family's poverty when her boyfriend Clem seems embarrassed by her circumstances and repeatedly cancels plans. After a chance encounter where Anne helps Glenn with his sick child Danny, Glenn becomes interested in her, but Anne worries that Clem still holds her in low regard. In "Some Day," a woman reflects on her lifelong role as a bridesmaid to her friends' weddings, always expecting that her own wedding day would eventually come, only to realize that after all her friends have married, she remains alone.
