This issue of *Sweetheart Diary* contains two romantic stories. In "Love is for Keeps," a woman named Nora recounts how she warned her friend Lafe about settling down too quickly after she discovered he was making a mistake by marrying Roy, a sailor, after only a brief courtship. In "Rebound," a woman named Sugar reflects on her failed marriage to Chuck, realizing she had married him on the rebound and mistakenly thought their relationship would work, only to discover through daily conflict that the marriage was a mistake.
