This issue contains two romantic stories. In "Heartbreak's Memory," a woman named Anna recalls her past romance with Franz, a charming military officer who captivated her at a ball, but later abandoned her for another woman; years later, when she encounters a man named Joel who resembles Franz, she initially falls for him before realizing Joel is his own person and choosing to give their relationship a genuine chance. "My Cabin by the Sea" follows Patricia, a woman whose boyfriend Joel leaves town to visit old friends, but becomes jealous and insecure about Patricia's independence and her willingness to socialize without him; after she rescues eggs from a truck accident with the help of Boy Scouts, Joel realizes his possessiveness is wrong and they reconcile.
