Swift Arrow #2
This issue contains two stories. "Trial by Conscience" by Gene Relly follows Jack Bolton, an aging prospector in the Colorado hills, who encounters a young stranger fleeing a posse after a bank robbery; Jack believes the stranger's claim that he was framed, offers him shelter, and must decide whether to help him escape or turn him in to the law. The second story features Swift Arrow attempting to prevent a war between Native American tribes, as he warns against fighting and tries to deliver a message of peace, though he risks being viewed as an enemy by the Wolf People tribe if he becomes involved in their conflict.
