"I Deserted My Ideals for an Easy Life" tells the story of a young woman named Martha who pursues a band leader named Lucky while he is dating her friend. Martha deliberately interferes in their relationship by flirting with Lucky at a nightclub, causing him to leave his girlfriend. Later, when Lucky's band moves away and he promises to return, Martha realizes she acted selfishly and learned too late that her manipulation was wrong. The story concludes with Martha alone, having lost both the man and her integrity through her deceitful actions.
