"Tense Suspense" #1 is an anthology of horror and suspense tales. The cover story "The Curse of Smallness" depicts a man afflicted by a supernatural curse shrinking him to diminutive size, pleading desperately to be saved from his impossible affliction. "Man Walking!" tells of a convict, Max Shelton, who mysteriously begins walking stiffly like an automaton after a strange encounter, eventually leading the parole board to suspect he is not truly reformed. "Those Eyes Are Evil!" features a woman whose hypnotic gaze possesses malevolent power, leaving a man unable to escape her supernatural influence even after their separation.
