Tex Ritter Western #4 Tex Ritter pursues a gang of outlaws called the Varmints through treacherous mountain terrain during a snowstorm, following their trail with the help of his horse White Flash. As Tex closes in on the criminals, they attempt to escape by setting off explosions and causing rockslides to impede his progress. The story culminates in a confrontation in the woods where Tex encounters a cougar and discovers that the outlaws have been using wild animals as part of their scheme, leading to a final showdown with the criminal gang led by Link Hodge.
