The Barker #12

In "The Barker," a circus performer becomes stranded at a remote gas station and encounters a villainous snake named Snader who is holding a rancher's daughter, Alice, hostage to extort five thousand dollars for a mortgage. The Barker befriends a traveling circus with exotic animals, and when Snader's scheme puts the animals on loose in town, chaos ensues with the creatures rampaging through the center of the town and a circus tent. The story culminates with the Barker pursuing Snader, engaging in physical combat and acrobatic escapes beneath circus platforms to ultimately prevent the villain's escape and stop his scheme.
