The Farmer's Daughter #2

The issue contains two stories. In the first, a farmer's daughter attracts the attention of city salesmen visiting the countryside, leading to romantic entanglements involving the farmer, the sheriff, and a dog that saves lives during a runaway tractor incident, ultimately winning the farmer's daughter's affection. The second story, "Gig McCoy: Around the Cracker Barrel," features a Civil War veteran recounting how his father was so full of bullets from combat that medics placed him in an ammunition wagon instead of a regular ambulance, a humorous tall tale about his father's remarkable recovery from his wounds.
