This anthology issue contains two police procedural stories. "The Blood-Stained Mink" follows detectives Mark and Tampa as they investigate a case involving a truckload of stolen goods and a suspect named Hoggie, ultimately leading to the arrest of criminals Robert E. Lee Sinclair and Peter Hawks for a first-degree robbery charge. "The Cop" tells of young Kenny, raised in a tough neighborhood, who joins the police force despite the odds and discovers a drowned woman named Evelyn in the river, her death officially ruled a suicide by the coroner.
