In "Buster," a father's departure for work is interrupted when he crashes through the front door, then later a suit he bought gets destroyed in a rainstorm after he fails to cover it properly with an umbrella. In another story, Natch Kilroy meets Kent Elpit and invites him to join the baseball team, leading to Natch introducing Kent to his sister Katie at a soda fountain; Kent becomes smitten with Katie and arranges to show her around town, planning to impress her with his status, but Katie agrees to go dancing with Natch instead, leaving Kent disappointed.
