The Lone Rider #13
This issue contains two stories featuring the Lone Rider. In "Slick Oil," a couple of con artists attempt to swindle a hermit out of his land by rigging a well, but their scheme backfires when the old man strikes oil, leading to confrontation and violence. In "Bloody Trails," an Indian guide named Swift Arrow warns the Lone Rider of trouble brewing between white settlers and Native Americans, mentioning a character called Yellow Hair; the story depicts conflict between a wagon train and Indian warriors over territorial disputes.
