The Lone Rider #18 This issue contains two stories. "The Horse They Called Killer" begins when ranch owners hold an emergency meeting to address a killer cat that has been slaughtering their livestock. A mysterious horse helps them track the creature, but then the horse itself vanishes under suspicious circumstances. Swift Arrow investigates, discovering the horse's absence is connected to some rustlers, and he pursues them toward a river crossing. In a separate story, a hermit agrees to help stage a fake bank robbery as a stunt, allowing road agents to commit an actual holdup while the real robbery provides cover for the criminals' escape.
