The Lone Rider #7
The Lone Rider #7 The Lone Rider assists a young woman named Cliff whose horse has bolted at a stampede after being startled by an out-of-control wild animal; he helps her regain control of her mount and earns her gratitude. In a separate sequence, the Lone Rider encounters a Native American tribe and hears their elder recount a historical legend about a sentry who spotted enemy tribesmen approaching the village stream. Meanwhile, a cavalryman named Deuce Browner is court-martialed for striking a superior officer and is sentenced to twenty years in prison; during his imprisonment, he plots an escape to be executed during transfer to an Eastern penitentiary, ultimately fleeing by train.
