"Death Comes High" follows a criminal named Lefty who attempts the perfect murder by paying off a man named Death to eliminate a rival, believing the crime is foolproof. After securing a meal and evading police pursuit in a high-speed car chase, Lefty is ultimately caught when police receive a radio alert and intercept him. In the final story, "There Is No Perfect Crime," two hoods attempt to rob a truck laden with stolen goods, but their plan unravels when police arrive at the scene, leading to their capture and the moral that no crime is truly perfect, as even the most elaborate schemes inevitably fail.
