This anthology issue contains two stories: "Scalp Hunters Hide Their Tracks," in which Coyotero and his rebel band clash with cavalry forces, with Smoky Horse leading the charge before being betrayed and forced to flee; and "The Lone Vigilante," featuring a masked vigilante who pledges to fight crime and becomes involved in a sheriff's election when an outlaw named Fitch seeks to become sheriff, leading the vigilante to expose Fitch's criminal nature and support the honest candidate instead.
