The American Interceptor, known as the Crusader, receives an urgent report of an invasion at Branchville involving enemy tankers disguised as warships preparing to land a divisional force along Southern California's coast. Doc Strange investigates the enemy's fifth column cannon and amphibious tank invasion plans, working to thwart their assault on the American west coast. The issue also features "The Ghost Pursues," in which Doc Strange confronts the Pharaoh's soldiers and battles supernatural forces while attempting to rescue Betty from Fenton at Liberty, and concludes with a football story where Duffy scores a touchdown to win the game for his team.
