This anthology issue features two complete stories. "Dr. Strange" involves gangsters and a supernatural ghost with the ability to turn people to stone; Dr. Strange uses an invention to combat the threat, which leads to a confrontation in ancient Rome where gangsters are taken prisoner by imperial soldiers. "The Lone Eagle" follows an airliner attacked by a mysterious fighter plane near the Panama Canal; the Lone Eagle investigates the disappearances of Cunama Airways ships and uncovers a plot involving espionage and sabotage, while also featuring a subplot with the Rio Kid pursuing the outlaw Crandall and discovering he is the father of a young girl.
