This issue contains two crime stories. "The Gunmaster" follows law enforcement's battle against a crime wave gripping the city, with police using an armored car to combat criminals in a getaway attempt. "Drilled to Death" features detective Skip Rollins and his longtime friend Whit Cornell investigating the murder of Joseph Hartwell, who was poisoned with prussic acid despite initially appearing to have died of natural causes; the investigation reveals Hartwell walked the streets for half an hour after being poisoned before collapsing. A third story, "The Chameleon," is also advertised as appearing in this issue.
