This anthology issue contains three distinct stories: "Blackrobe: The Story of Father Desmet" chronicles the life of a Belgian missionary born in Termond who devoted himself to serving Native Americans in North America, earning their recognition as a trusted friend. "The Queen of Birds" is a humorous animal fable in which a fox aspires to become the "Queen of Birds" by singing, but lacks the voice and wit to succeed in her ambition. "Fatima" depicts religious and political turmoil in Portugal, where enemies of the Church threatened to dethrone God, and features a miraculous appearance and message calling for the recitation of the rosary to end the war, with the narrative extending to Lisbon where civil administrators work to strengthen Catholic faith against anti-religious forces.
