The issue opens with Timmy the Timid Ghost terrified during a lightning storm, attempting to overcome his fear by confronting his own shadow and shouting increasingly louder "boos" at it, which only causes his shadow to grow larger and frighten him even more. The issue also contains "The Three Wishes," a prose story featuring Raro the Rabbit, Squaro the Squirrel, Totto the Turtle, Willie the Wee Worm, and Polly the Pigeon debating the nature of comfort and satisfaction when a mysterious figure in a golden gown and diamond crown descends from a cloud.
